DO YOU NEED TO PUT HARDWARE CLOTH OVER PERMANENTLY CLOSED GLASS WINDOWS?

Our windows we are putting on the coop are storm windows (thin glass). Obviously if they are opened they will need hardware cloth over the screen. Since we have enough ventilation we will just be using them for light. Will predators break the glass to get in?

I did put hardware cloth on the inside of my fixed windows, not so much for predators but to keep the chickens from roosting in the window sills and making a mess
