Hi all, this thread is to document my first hatch. A dozen eggs to build up my little flock of Bantam Ameraucanas.
I've been inspired by the many DIY incubators here, but time got away from me, so I bought a Little Giant still air unit.
I put in a few bottles of water for thermal mass and let it warm up for 24 hours. I just put the eggs in and now the countdown begins!
I have the temp set at 99.7, so far it's held fairly stable at couple tenths below that.
The humidity is at 47.
Between me and the kids, we should be able to get the eggs turned 3 times per day.
