Does anyone know what is wrong with my mouse? (computer)

I have a wireless HP that is only four months old. It stopped working, so I tried a new battery even though I was certain that was not the issue.
A blue light on top just blinks when I try to use it.

We called HP tech support and went through a lot before we actually got a person in India/Pakistan. We went through several more questions and were then told he would put the 'right' person on the line. More waiting...... We went through the same questions and were then told we needed to download the driver again, but that did not work.

Can anyone offer any suggestion?

did you uninstall the driver before you tried to download it again?

If you replaced the batteries, you may need to re-sync it.
