Honestly I’d say mix, but many people would say ‘RIR’ or ‘NHR’ because he’s red.
He’s too gamey. I don’t think he’s either.

Nobody will be able to tell you what that rooster is except the person that bred him. Where are you getting them from?

If you are keeping a rooster to breed, light weight ones are great, they don't tear up a back. But a chicken being nice is more important.

He looks like an American gamefowl, with probably some mixing somewhere in his lineage. RIR or New Hampshire could be involved or something else.
