Does brightness of lightbulb matter for winter egg laying?

I am going to be running electric out to the coop this weekend so I can use some additional light come fall/winter to help with egg laying and will be using LED bulbs for reduces fire risk and efficiency. Does the wattage/brightness matter a lot? I figure I can do either a 40watt or 60watt equivalent bulb in a 8x8 coop for 16 chickens if it's centralized on the ceiling?

Technically, yes. Try to get the most sun-similar light bulb- like a warm white

It needs to be bright enough for you to read a newspaper at roost level.
I'd go with the 60Weq.

More important is timing, it needs to be consistent.every.single.day.
