does my kid need a trim?

it is completely dry, and as far as i’ve noticed, there doesn’t seem to be any sort of swelling or weeping present. as of this post, we’ve had her over five weeks. the seller had sold her to us saying she was weaned and of age to sell, but as i’m still learning about owning goats, i’m not sure how true that is. she has definitely been eating totally normal goat feed and doesn’t seem to have an issues despite her cord still being there… i have no clue how or why it’s still there

It doesn't sound like its a problem, but I think she was defiantly to young to be weened; but goats are very resistant so I don't think you need no worry to much.

I'd have to agree that after 8 weeks, the umbilical cord should have dropped off. This usually happens after a week or so.
I always trim the goat's hooves every few weeks, depending on the weather. They don't seem to mind and I always give them a treat.
