Dominant chicken unexpectedly balding?

Hi all,

My dominant and leader chicken has began unexpectedly balding around her comb. This has been happening over the past 6 months to maybe a year and it seems like she is increasingly loosing more feathers everyday. She is only 3 years old too and a Red Star/golden sex-link breed.

Does anyone have any idea of what this could be? I never see her getting pecked by he other chickens or rubbing her head or anything and I monitor them pretty closely everyday. I also checked her for mites and she does not have any.

*Also she is not molting or losing feathers anywhere else.
