I live in golden valley az we have wild donkeys here all the time and have been known to dig up water lines, in order to get to water. Does anyone feel I should strengthen my pen or have ideas to keep my ducks and their water safe

My donkeys never bothered the chickens. I think you should contact your state extension office and ask them if your place is liable to be attractive to donkeys, and what steps to take to keep your water safe. Donkeys are pretty smart and stronger than they look.

Also, donkeys hate dogs. They will kill dogs that come into their pasture, which is why they are used as sheep guardians. If you have a dog that barks it will probably keep donkeys away.
