I couldn't figure out how to start a thread so I'll just ask here...does anyone have a pic of a black cuckoo orpington chick that they could share? I hatched out a group on Sunday and put

I was told this is a hen, but I can't tell. Acts like a Roo. Can anyone tell me if it is Hen or Roo. Thanks.

There are a few for you. These are single barred not double, but they are black chicks with a white spot on top of their head. The wing feathers should have the cuckoo pattern developing as they grow.

Darn, I didn't look close enough, that middle chick is a Cuckoo Marans, not a Cuckoo Orp. The general appearance is the same at this age except the chick in that pict has feathered legs. A cuckoo Orp should have white legs.

Are these both pullets? I'm most unsure about the black one. Thanks!

I got these little ones at a swap meet. Can someone please tell me what breed they are and maybe how old? We've had them for about 3 weeks and, man, did they grow fast!

Did you take a picture 3 weeks ago? Having both would help get the age right.

They MIGHT be buff Rocks and barred Rocks but could also be mixed breeds.
