Darn, I didn't look close enough, that middle chick is a Cuckoo Marans, not a Cuckoo Orp. The general appearance is the same at this age except the chick in that pict has feathered legs. A cuckoo Orp should have white legs.

Thankyou! Mine are double barred. And I have a whole bunch of crossbreeds in there that have barred rock in them. Needless to say, I'm a confused beginner. Lol!

I'm still confused about whether this Silkie is a roo or hen...6-7 months old much smaller than our other hens of similar age. She hates to have her photo taken, I tried to get a good headshot. She has a super tiny comb and virtually no wattles.

It doesn't make a difference that my rooster is a lavender cuckoo, does it? Looks to me like your chicks have completely black faces. What do you think about this one?
