These are 4 week old chicks from part of a Cackle Hatchery "Surprise" box. Some of them I can figure out the breeds, but a few are ?!?! If you can comment on sex, I would appreciate it!

Got my Meyers order today with a Meal chick in it.

It's 3 Buff Orpingtons and 3 Welsummer pullets. Plus the free Meal Maker chick. Any ideas on what the freebie might be? She's (and I'm hoping it is because they say they include a chick similar to your order) the one in the middle of the group without stripes.

I think your guess of Rock looks like a winner because they have loads available for shipping now and she looks very similar to their website chicks. Guess time will tell. Thanks!

I can see why you're concerned but the tell-tale dark patch on the wing is entirely absent and there isn't significant development in the comb/wattles. I'm thinking you have a heavier set pullet.

Age? Where did you get it?

There are breed possibilities but it's also possible you have a barnyard mix that happens to have a blue or splash parent.
