Don't laugh to hard, I was just wondering about chicken breeds....

I was just going to ask the same thing!!! I went to the local farmer's market today and came home with a 2 day old partridge silkie bantam that was in a bin labeled 'Show Quality Silkies'
OMG....this little chicky is too cute!
When I came home and proudly announced to DH "That one" I pointed, "is a Show Quality Silkie Bantam!!" He asked, "Really? Where's it's papers?"
Well, I didn't ask about papers....and the seller didn't offer up any, so....Hope someone answers this question!!

I've never heard of a chicken registry, so getting "papers" is not possible. Show quality would mean that they are the type that might do well at a show. These birds should absent of DQ"s of their breed.
