Dosing Aspirin for a swollen middle toe

Just a quick update in case anyone finds this thread later. We talked to our vet and she wasn't sure what it might be, so we did a single x-ray to double check. Apparently not a break and we did some antibiotics and it cleared up after about 10 or 12 days. Best guess is that it was some kind of infection that hadn't broken the skin like bumblefoot.

Thanks for the update. So thankful she is doing good now. What antibiotics? always good to know what worked so we can help others.

Antibiotics were Baytril 22.7mg tablets. Gave them to her twice a day (cut up in peas) for 10 days. It was actually two short courses of antibiotics. The vet wasn't 100% sure it was an infection but when she responded well to treatment, vet extended the treatment time. Her foot looks really good now!
