Im "SUPPOSED" to have a Jersey Giant, but she is 1 year old now, and only the size of my 1 yr old SLW hen.

I dunno, but I dont think shes a JG, but I love her just the same.

Sure is! Mine aren't big JGs since they are hatchery stock. I'd get tickled at how rough and tumble they were but so dainty/girly when they took a sip.

Lovely girls are quite prim and proper as they sip their water. Kind of "pinky in the air" tea cup behavior & very attractive! When I saw the thread title of Drinking, I thought it must refer to a frustrated chicken owner.

It was so cute when my hens were perching on the rim of that drain though, I had to take pictures despite the fact that I wasn't sure if my old, creaky camera would fall apart if I turned it on again!

I think it's funny that they make the same stance when they eat yogurt, but it is so much messier!

lol yeah, that's true. They do the same when they're drinking leftover milk that we give them. It's hilarious.
