Hey everyone I have a question about my ducks. I have a female Rouen and she is a consistent layer. The only issue I have is her eggs smell very stinky. Not rotten. They just smell like Duck. I was wondering if these are okay to eat? Or what would be causing this? They don't look blemished at all. It's just the smell. My other ducks lay perfect eggs as well as my chickens and turkeys. Thanks guys.

My duck eggs have always smelled like the ducks and I've had no problems with eating them. I'm guessing if the eggs don't smell like that naturally the smell might be caused by the duck sitting on the egg and, with the oil in her feathers, transferring the smell - but that's pure conjecture.
