Duck pip now what???

The duck pipped over 24 hours ago and no progress has happened I opened the incubator to put new eggs in before I knew it pipped then I also opened it to check and see if the baby was still alive since nothing has changed. How long can this take and what do I do if nothing happens?

Exactly how many hours has it been since it started hatching? Ducklings take a very long time to hatch (often around 2 days) and they rest alot between each step in the hatching process. Can you post a pic of the egg where it has started to hatch? Try to do it without opening the incubator if possible though, you don't want to lose any humidity in there while it is hatching or the membrane could dry out and get stuck to the duckling.

Has it made any more progress since you posted this?
