Duck with an odd "voice"

I've posted this elsewhere, but am going with a new thread. I have a pekin that makes a shrill, annoying sound all the time, it seems. He/she walks around making the noise any time I am outside and often when I'm not. Can anyone tell me if the duck is making a "normal" sound or if the duck is in pain or something. It's just very, very odd.

I believe that's a female and they're just really noisy. She/he sounds fine to me

We are thinking it's a female. None of my previous pekins ever had that shrill sound to them. I guess I just find it so annoying. I was hoping for a female so I would eggs, but I don't know…..
