Hi so I have a duck with a small bumblefoot but it is rock hard. Is that bad? Do I need to perform surgery? Or can I just keep soaking it in Epsom salt baths and putting triple antibiotic ointment on it? Please advise thank you!

Can you post a picture? It is good to soak the feet in warm Epsom salts water, and try to remove the scab. If the scab comes off, you can try to squeeze very hard to get the kernel out. Apply neosorin ountment on gauze, and apply a dressing to keep the woulpnd clean. If needed the soaks can be done for a few days until successful.

I might be able to get a picture later I have been taking care of her most of the morning so now she's resting. The scab did come off but underneath it was just normal looking skin and I tried squeezing it but nothing budged. She is walking with a minor limp but she's still eating and drinking and pretty happy until you squeeze her foot.

Here's a picture of the bottom and the top of her foot.
