Hi! I had a Muscovy duckling hatch the other day, and it’s gone missing! It’s mother has never had ducklings before, and it’s the only one she had. It was here this morning, and doesn’t wander far from its mother. Our duck yard is very secure and it would be very hard for a ground predator to get in. I don’t know about predators from the air because the place where the mother has her nest is against the house across from some big maple trees. The only open is a small patch of grass. Do you think a predator would come and get it? Is it possible it got spooked and ran and hid? Thanks!
