durvet turns water RED

Wht is the water turning red, I have a gallon waterer, i put in the rught amount , but it turns red by the next morning, so i change it, what is making it turn red, i have one of those red and white plastic waterers thanks

My quart waterers turn red when I add anything to them. I believe it is the red base that looses it's colors because of w/e your adding is making the base leach. I haven't bought other color bases and tested it, though.
I know metal waterers with some meds will cause crazy things to happen.

Many antibiotics that you put into the water will turn red after a day or two. Fresh solution should be mixed every day.
