dust bath question

I actually got the turtle from Freecycle. I just put up a wanted post for a child's turtle sandbox and got two replies. The local Goodwill would likely be a good place to find one, or something similar. I like it when they all get in and snuggle round the rooster.

Is the Stall Dri something that can be used for the dust bath?

I'm checking out the yard sales for that turtle, it is so cool!

I think Stall Dri is mostly used to absorb odors in the hen house. I don't think you want to use that for dust batheing. Stick with dirt and sand and you should be fine. Wood ashes are good too, but nothing chemically treated.

We got our 6 foot round brooder pool at KMart for under $5 at year end clearance.
