"Okay!" Snowpaw said with a touch of her old enthusiasm "Where shall I go?"

"Try checking near the EagleClan border. I was there recently and there was quite a lot of voles. I'm going to check near the streams for water voles." Hawkfeather gestured towards the EagleClan border.

"Okay!" She said brightly, setting off towards the EagleClan border at a steady trot. She was nervous, but more excited at the chance to show off what she had learned with Sunfur to Hawkfeather. On her way, her sharp ears detected a small rustle in the leaves under a willow tree. She dropped down into the hunters crouch, moving much smoother and more naturally with all the practice she had had. Tracking the mouse by sound rather then sight, she kept her pawsteps light and smooth, gliding over the forest floor until the final leap. Her claws pinned the small brown creature to the ground and finished it off with a sharp bite to the neck before it could squeal.

"Try bending your legs a little more, and keep your tail down." suggested Talon kindly, still watching the animal. It was a mouse.

Ashstorm and Cloudpaw headed along the StormClan border with Silverstream and Sandstreak. They were doing a border patrol, and showing Cloudpaw the territory at the same time. They moved with caution, more-so then any of the other borders as their recent quarrel with the Clan had left everyone uneasy... except Cloudpaw. The young apprentice was already strolling ahead of the group, as if he were already a senior warrior.

There were no StormClan cats in sight, though there scent was fresh, the cats had clearly been there recently.

Cloudpaw strutted around, proud as a peacock. He paused once to mark the border, then bounded ahead of the patrol. Ashstorm growled under his breath and ran to catch up to his apprentice before someone, or something, else did.
