Ear lump

My chicken has this same issue. I finally found a vet and they took her in. Gave her antibiotic to see if it would go down. No change. Vet Said it was in the ear. A solid hard mass. They tried to drain but got Nothing. Told me the chicken would have to stay that way cause no vet would work on a chickens ear. Not brave enough to poke on my own. Glad you were brave enough...wish i was. Wish we could have found relueve for mine.

If it is an infection the mass may be full of hard puss. You can lance that and squeeze or try to dig out the solid puss. If it is a tumor or mass it will probably only bleed. I would go ahead and try to lance it while someone is holding you chicken wrapped in a towel. Here is some reading about how to do that:
