I've been looking around, and although I couldn't find the store you named, I may have found the breed. A lot of feed stores order from Privett Hatchery, and they have this bantam named Pyncheon Bantam. I found a website with a lot of pictures, and the chick pictures look similar to yours. Also, especially if it's a rooster, i would expect it to feather out just like yours, since the roosters are darker in color, and also have spots. They do grow up too fast! Mine is named Llama by my kids. We thought she would be white so a big suprise!
