I have a question-- I have to EE's Pippy had muffs as a little chick, and Hazel has never had muffs. Will their muffs grow? Pippy's is really little- and Hazel doesn't have one at all.

These are my girls and boy at a few days old. The all cream one is tweety, the chipmunk colored one is the boy named sue, and the one with the little butt up in the air is jebs. She has some black spotting up her back and on her wings

Who knows what color they will turn out to be. It's kinda like Christmas! But hope this helps!

Wow! Thank you for taking the time to answer my question! So, do you agree it seems to follow that rule? (light colored chicks+ light colored hens and vice-versa). From your examples it seems to hold true, or is this too small a sample to know for sure?

They are both gorgeous! I am hoping to get the opportunity to choose lighter colored chicks in the hopes they turn out like this. So adorable.

They are my first ees, so I'm no expert! But I would go with the lightest possible to get one like tweety again.

Hazel will not grow any.Pippy will probably always have small muffs .Sounds like she has 1 copy of the gene for muffs.
