I like Ideal too even though I've never gotten EE's from them I have gotten other breed. We only had one chick that ended up dying. (that was a tiny silkie)
The shipping is really cheap too.

I've never gotten EE's either.

Everything that I've ever gotten from Ideal has up and died on me. The EE's I got from them had mostly yellow legs. Yellow legs don't look so good on an EE.

I have a handsome Wheaten Ameraucana Bantam roo. His girls are not mature yet, so he practiced wooing my little Mille Fleur d'Uccle. Two offspring hatched so far. Has anyone ever had a cross like that?

I am hoping for the best of both worlds EE - a feather footed, calico, colored egg layer that can be sexed fairly young. Just for fun!!

So stinkin' cute! I hope you post pics as they grow, I think they're going to be adorable chickens

Kiwi laid her first tiny bantam egg!
Ignore the soft egg next to it, I found that in the pasture at the same time lol. Kiwis egg is green, my camera didnt catch the hue. :/

Yes for EE . Single comb so probably not carrying the blue egg gene .

Single comb doesn't rule out blue eggs.

This hen is single comb, yellow legged and tuftless but lays the prettiest mint eggs daily. She's one of my best producers. So far her chicks look promising. Don't write them off just yet. Your hens might surprise you.
