Anyone have insight on whether this is a cockerel or pullet? I believe pullet but was thrown off by the comb a little. About 15 weeks old.

Thank you, we’ve been fortunate in what we have purchased so far. The pic only has 2 of our 8. Honestly they are all nice looking and unique in their own way.

Pullet definitely,yeah that’s not an EE. I have 4 and if t was a mix it would either have a beard or cheek fluffs it has nothing. It is beautiful though. If you breed that with a light Brahma you would have even more beautiful babies!

Yes that looks more like an Olive Egger than a Cochin or a Maran. I would guess Olive Egger. Your other chicken is very beautiful too! All my chickens are molting and look like rats right now. Lol

Black chicken is definitely EE I’d say pullet. If the comb is rose it should have three rows for roo and girl should have 1or 2 rows.

I have a hatchery EE that doesn't have a beard or muffs, and a home bred EE that has both.... it is possible for EE to not have either...

that's the thing about EE. They can have any leg color, muffs and beard or no, can be any color, have any comb type. Crested or not... The only defining factors are that they lay a colored egg and are a mix.
