We only have two girls left from our original flock because predators hit us hard last year. We got a rooster in the fall and we were very excited to hatch their babies this spring. We just had a 100% hatch rate with the 9 eggs we incubated from them. Our rooster is an ameraucana/marans olive egger and our hens are a blue laying white ameraucana and a brown laying brown barnyard mix. All the chicks look so different, we got every color possible. Please enjoy my fluffy babies. 🥰

Omg I love the 5th and 6th babies
The black with the white throat actually had horrible wry neck when it first hatched. It was in the incubator for about 12 hours before I pulled it out and by then it was totally normal. No more issues so far. We were going to cull it, I’m so glad we didn’t!

Oh my gosh! I have duckings hatch with crooked feet sometimes and people tell me to cull them but I never do and now they’re happy healthy birds

Wry neck is a lot different than crooked feet. At hatch this baby couldn’t walk, there would have been no way for it to eat or drink unassisted. Its head was firmly stuck laying in its back staring up at the sky. At birth it almost got trampled. I would have had to isolate it from the others, and give round the clock care. Thankfully something happened and it corrected on its own in those first 12 hours. But I would not have been able to accommodate a high needs chick to that degree.
