That happens with dark egg layers sometimes..It is like the jets in the printer start running out of ink. The color usually lightens up during the laying cycle too

yes I noticed that, I was going to sell some eggs but wasn't sure how to say that the eggs may be lighter at times. I guess I should research that and how to state it because I could use the extra cash.
