EE Bantam Egg Colors

Reading the description from My Pet Chicken, it sounds like bantam EEs lay green, blue, etc. egg colors just like their standard counterparts. Today I was checking out the new chicks at the feed store, and the employee told me Easter Egger bantams lay white eggs. He said lots of people say otherwise to sell more chickens, but people end up disappointed when they only lay white.

Doesn't ring true to me, but I'm not familiar with bantams (yet!). Any experience with EE bantams?

Why would they be called Easter eggers if they only lay white eggs?

I don't have any personally, but have seen folks here breeding bantam EE that lay pretty blue eggs.
