Egg Bound or What ?? (pics)

One of my chicken passed this mass and my husband discovered on the floor of the coop with several of the hens trying to eat it. He said all the chickens were there and seemed fine but of course he never examined them or wouldn't even know what to look for. I have several pictures of it and was wondering if anyone had experienced this before.

This mas was semi hard looked like a potato and felt like a boiled egg

I think she may be an internal layer. That sort of stuff usually builds up in their abdominal cavity.
