egg color question

OK, if one had an Americauna cross, possibly crossed with a RIR? ... could they lay a greenish egg one day and a light brownish egg the next day? or would the hen lay the same color every day?

Hens don't always lay the same colour of eggs. I have a few girls that have changed their egg colour from creamy white to light brown, and back again randomly.

those eggs are sure pretty- Congrats! they are not only different colors- but a totally different shape. For others out there can the same hen lay different shapes too?

I don't think that they can change the actual color of the egg. I think it's just the shade. If the egg is green, it will always be green. But maybe lighter one day or darker the next. But not change to brown from green or visa versa.
