Egg storage for eating

I know you can leave eggs at room temp for about 3 weeks but if you refrigerate them they last about 3-4 months. I also know if you wash them you have to refrigerate them.

We keep our eggs on counter at room temp, however I was curious how it would work if you had them at room temp for about a week then decided to put them in fridge. I’m sure it would shorten the time it’ll be good for. I figured 1week is equivalent to about a month? So if at room temp for month then placed in fridge, be good for 2 months instead. Or if on counter for 2 weeks then placed in fridge, possibly just one month good for?

That was my best guess didn’t know if anyone else was egg experts or had better knowledge

Also if you place in fridge, do you have to clean them? I know cleaning opens up for bacteria so we do not, we actually are fortunate enough to only have 1 hen that does not lay in nesting box so our eggs aren’t typically dirty anyhow.
