Hello! I'm new to the BackYard Chickens. I am researching about egg washing machines for small scale egg producers. I would like to know if anyone here uses an egg washing machine and how they like it? I would eventually like to get certified to be able to sell eggs to our local grocery stores, however right now I am just doing my research about the Rules/Laws and regulations about being able to accomplish my goals for my area. Thanks for your help. Kristen

Could I ask why you’d wash them? I’ve never seen washed eggs in the supermarkets here, some have a spot of blood, a fleck of poop, a few feathers...

*never mind. I just researched it.

But I don’t know of an egg washing machine, sorry!

No worries, its a State Law requirement where I'm located that eggs being sold commercially be washed/sanitized. However I can get away without washing them if I just distributed to my neighbors/friends via word of mouth.

Welcome aboard :frow:welcome
You can generally find most anything chicken on BYC, but I must confess that I've never seen mention of an egg washing machine. On the other hand, though, I don't get out much.
Enjoy the search.

Thanks! I have researched different types of Egg washing equipment and I,m just not sure what works and doesn't work. I was hoping that someone on BYC might have any experience with equipment specifically for washing eggs. Some of the things I have found are as follows.
