Hi all,
The past couple of days, we have found eggs laid on the floor of the coop - some ok and some cracked. They have to have been laid between the time that they went to roost and the time that we get out there to let the little ones out that we are trying to introduce to the flock - it is almost dark when we leave them, and just starting to get light when I let the little ones out for a while. Anyone else ever had any that laid when it was dark? We figure that it is too dark for the hen to see to get in the nesting boxes when she lays them, so they end up on the floor and sometimes broken. I guess it is possible that us trying to get the new chickens acclimated has gotten her out of whack?
