I feed unwanted eggs to my dogs.

Do remember the dark days of winter are coming, and then there is a dearth of eggs. Save and store now with water glassing or freezing eggs.

Mix up a dozen eggs and pour into 12 muffin tins and freeze. Then bag up for baking.

I mix up a dozen and freeze in a bag, and use for scrambled eggs when the family comes home.

But this year I am trying water glassing. I am putting eggs away now, cause in December there will be days with no egg at all. I kept track and I will need at least 14 dozen eggs to get me through the molt and dark days of January.

If someone does me a favor, I always give eggs this time of year, and they seem to appreciate it.

Really?

Yup! Chickens love them, and they are good for them, too. A good source of protein. If I accidentally crack an egg when putting it away, I'll scramble it with a bit of milk. They go crazy over it!

We give some away to friends and family. We also sometimes scramble eggs for the chickens who love them. We also eat a lot of eggs. I created a Pinterest board with egg recipes sorted by how many eggs used and sometimes choose dinner by what uses the most eggs
