Eggs in Hatcher flat or in holder?

Should I lay the eggs flat on the nesting paper in my hatcher (they roll around a lot of space, afraid they may break taking in and out)

or

Should I leave them in the egg rack holder that holds them fat side up? The rack fits inside the hatcher box. They are made of hard plastic.

I would get some grippy shelf liner with the holes and line the bottom instead of paper and lay your eggs flat.

You could leave it but if it was me, I wouldn't hatch eggs upright.

I have also seen where others have used nylon rope laid in bottom of hatcher to stop eggs from rolling or being knocked around from other hatchlings. I use grippy shelf liner in bottoms of all my hatchers.
