hey all,
just wanted to ask some questions about buying and shipping eggs for incubation purposes. mainly concentrating on quail.

is July/August too hot for getting shipped eggs to hatch?
does their "season" for laying end earlier?

i would like to get some more eggs to hatch, but i dont want to waste money that i could save till next spring .(this applies to chicken / duck / quail / pheasant / and turkey eggs.)

don

I can only speak of button quail as that is what I raise. They lay year round and we ship year round...we still have great hatch rates even through the summer. Hope this helps!

I would look for anything that won't be shipped unless you are willing to get shipped express. I got a thermometer in the mail yesterday and out of the box it read 118. I had 2 different orders (60 total) of Coturnix eggs in early June that ended up doing nothing due to the heat.
