eggs not hatching in incubator

It's super important to have everything working well and settled for at least 24 hours before committing eggs to it. (IMO) I like to put bottles of warm water in the bator about = to the volume of eggs that will be going in. I then run it to get the temp settled. It's also critical that you have your thermometer calibrated to 100 degrees, and be familiar with your incubator to be sure there are no hot or cold spots. Beware, when you put your eggs in, the temp will drop. Don't adjust it unless it goes too high and stays too high for several hours. It can take 24 hours for temps to stabilize after adding eggs. That's why it's so important to get the temp adjusted before putting eggs in. Otherwise, you're gonna be chasing temps for several days, and may injure your embryos in the process. Please read all of "Hatching 101" in the learning center before putting your eggs in the bator.
