Great job, your girls are going to be spoiled. One thing we learned on our first coop, the people in the know said that chickens need a 2x4, wide side for them to stand on to keep their feet warm and comfortable. They aren't like birds that clutch a branch or something round.

I don't who "the people in the know are" but we planned our roosts per information we found in all the books we read. 4 months in and our flock (Barnevelders, Buff Orpingtons, Wyandottes and Silkies) all love their roost (18 birds on roughly 16 linear feet of roost and there is still plenty of room between the different flocks). Their toes seem to keep plenty warm since the coop is insulated.
