LOL, me? Knit a sweater?

I wouldn't want to wear anything I made

That sweater (even with a fake bottle of vino in it) would be fun for ugly sweater day...you should do it!

Liz...you live in NH for crying out loud! And you don't own any sweaters? How do you make it through your winters?

Grandson Evan got his gingerbread houses finished. Yesterday before the snow started he and our daughter Tam took them to the long term care facility where she works as a CNA. This is something they do every year and the residents look forward to seeing what has been created for the year. Usually it's Tam, Evan and Katie making houses but this year Katie was getting ready to go on her trip with her mom and dad to Denver for Kendra's Spina Bifida clinic checkup. She gets her assignments from her teachers and turns and burns so that she's not behind when she comes back. So she didn't get a chance to go over to Tam's and make one. The kids also make several Jack-o-Lanterns at Halloween and the residents and staff just love it when she brings the kids up there with the treasures they made for them.

And I'm hoping Tam got pictures of the two houses Evan made, because I didn't. It's so funny - the first one the kids make they are so meticulous and careful. By the second or third ones they are just wanting to get them finished, and finished is better than showroom! I know the feeling!! Anyway, if Tam got pictures I'll pop them up here.

Now of course the kids have a change in plans......they have decided that Katie will stay here with us while they're gone. She was going to go in case they got stranded down there and had to stay over Christmas, but the weather is so bad that they feel having to worry about Kendra in the event of something happening was enough - having both there could make things more difficult. I'd rather none of them were going to tell the truth, but.....
