hello,

way back in the 70's,I lived in los Angeles ,ca, and raised chickens and a few turkeys ,but I raised them mainly for show, then in the 80's I moved to the hi desert and forgot all about chickens . Recently got interested again, so I ordered 15 female chicks from mc murry , they are now 16 weeks old and I am really enjoying them, for the last two weeks, I have been getting 9 to 12 eggs a day .yesterday 14 eggs.whoopee. Don't know if they are spoiling me or vice versa.

You really lucked out - you ordered females and actually got females. Haven't heard that in a long time. Congratulations on all the eggs.

Congrats on getting back into poultry and getting eggs already! Most of my birds are from MM...what breed(s) did you get?
