My almost 3 year old New Hampshire hen has an enlarged earlobe on her right side. She did have an enlarged earlobe this summer and I can't remember which side it was or if it ever went back down to normal size.

Here is a picture taken today

What causes this? Could it be a tumor?

Thanks in advance

Chickens do get ear infections, sometimes from mites, yeast, or bacteria. I can't tell from the picture angle though if it looks like the ear is swollen. Does it feel warm or full like an abcess? Chickens can get tumors especially from Mareks disease, but that isn't the only cause. A picture from the side might be better.

I just noticed the same thing on 1 of my chickens. It feels warm to the touch and either full of blood or fluid. Any suggestions?

Thanks
