Falcon! Oh my gosh! I am crossing my fingers! 😬

I am out of town currently. And my dad is currently watching the flock and he texted that a falcon is lurking around. I am biting my nails. My chickens are cooped up in their run while i’m gone and are going to stay that way until I can be absolutely sure that it’s gone. Predators are usually more likely in the winter and fall. Since all the prey are hibernating and it is more likely for them to come for my chickens. Backyard chickens insists that I put at least ONE photo. And since I’m out of town I don’t have any photos. My dad let our dog who barks at anything run around and scare away the falcon.

Note: The falcon is small and could not possibly pick up my dog

They'll probably be fine. As long as they can get under stuff to hide, is your run covered?
It likely has always been around but it's easier to see now that the trees are bare.
