One of our hens, Rose, has been laying wonders, but we have tried to hatch ten of her eggs with our little giant, but none even start development. Our other hens eggs hatched just fine. Does she have a disease??? Please respond.

P.S. Besides her faulty problem, eggs that come from her are always fertile, and she has no symptoms for any disease.

Hm...

Depending on how many hens you have with the rooster, his sperm count could be low or weak if he's breeding to too many girls.
Other than that, I'd imagine it could be an incubation problem.

Have you allowed her to set her own eggs before?

HI,
I did not see that you spoke about your rooster???????????
Have you seen him mate???????
I doubt it is the hen.
Would you care to expand on your incubation process.......
Do not know if you are new to it or not???
Thanks

No, she is not a rooster, we only have one roo and he mates with her all the time, plus she lays eggs.

Second, I am not new to this. We have had chickens for over a year now, and I have hatched a lot of chicks. But still, none of rose eggs ever started development. I have incubated a total of ten of her eggs.

Third, We have RIRs, and the roosters are HUGE! The hens are a lot smaller.
