Ye's and I had to separate mama from chick but it was in the best interest for the whole flock
She is adjusting well so far

I wonder what a faverolle mixed with lavendar cochin would look like?

Black, single combed chicks with feathered legs and white skin with a good chance of some extra toes and some beard/muff. I wouldn't be surprised if the cockerels developed some leakage in the hackles and saddle feathers as they matured.

I am wondering if I should keep the lavender Cochin if it is a rooster so I can breed him with my faverolles?

It depends on your flock plans.

I don't really have a FlOct plan per say I do love the faverolle breed! If I had to choose I'd get a faverolle rooster they are beautiful

Just out of curiosity are faverolles a highly broody breed? I have had three hens try to go broody in the past 4 weeks I let one hatch a few eggs for me and the others I had to break it quick. Is that common for this breed?

They hatched Marich 21 they aren't even a year old yet!
