Feather growth question

My chicks are growing wing feathers at a pretty outrageous rate, but the feathers seem very small given the adult size of a RIR, Barred Rock, etc.

Will the chicks grow in a full set of "baby" feathers, and then molt into a first set of "adult feathers?" How does this work? When should I except any molting events to occur? Should I give them special molting treats?

Just keep feeding them their chick starter/grower. These little baby feathers will start falling and their big chicken feathers will start coming in. They do have a whole set of baby feathers and they just grow out after a month or so. They don't really need any extra treats as grower should have all they need.
