Day 15 for my eggs today. Current stats (if I counted correctly):

Easter Egger
6 clear
1 early quitter
0 remaining

Wheaten/Blue Wheaten Ameraucana
2 early quitters
5 remaining

Wheaten/Blue Wheaten Marans
4 clear
4 remaining

I am still not super confident about any of the eggs at this point. These very dark shells have thrown me for a loop! Only a few days from lockdown. I’m choosing to err on the side of leaving any eggs in that I am not 100% sure aren’t developing for now.

We have our first chick!!! It has feathers on its feet so its from one of my cochins! This picture though

My LO that is in the little cage currently was a huge egg. It was not a double, I almost worried it was. No wonder the belly button didn't shrink, too much contents. The chick doesn't seem squishy bellied or anything. the belly button has shrunk more. I will release the kraken soon.

What is squishy belly? Is it obvious? I have four hatched, two more with external pips. One has a big santa belly… wondering if that might be squishy belly.

My two French Cooper Maran eggs have no pip. Hopefully they are alive. I can’t see anything in those eggs.

I sneak in because they trip over their own shells.

Some chicks have a squishy belly and it looks clear and swollen.
