First pip! Only around 24 hours to go until we have chicks!

I put four brown eggs and two green eggs under my hen, all the brown eggs are externally piping, and the green/blue ones have yet to internally pip. (All checked while the hen was off the nest.) I just find it fascinating that the brown eggs all are hatching at the same time. My hen should hopefully stay on those two eggs for few more days, if they are late. I’ll give them till tomorrow, if no internal pips, I will candle them to make sure they are worth my hen’s energy.

oh look at those internal pips!!!!!!! with in the next 24 hrs or so there will be babies! what is your humidity at? I see some condensation on the side.

70%. That’s the only spot of condensation… there’s a box to prop up a camera right there that seems to be causing it. I moved it back an inch and the condensation went away.

Im going to let the little one dry for awhile then take a quick look at the baby to see what color it is. (Around half a hour to a hour) from what I can tell now the little one is black and red.
