Feed Choices...

I have been feeding laying crumbles to my flock of now 14, but have recently added a BCM roo, and a BO roo, and they are huge. Do they require a high protein feed. And now that it is winter, do the hen require a higher protein feed? there are so many choices...

I feed the same layer feed year round.

In winter I supplement the feed with some high-protein treats and some corn/grains.

If you'll be showing your birds, you'll want to bump up the protein - possibly feeding a game bird feed or feather conditioner.

Other than that, regular feed is fine.
